Maya Y. Lefevre

Explorer, Storyteller, Dreamer.

I believe the best adventures begin with one impossible question.

Every Adventure Has an Author

Behind every map, every sketch, and every story lies a journey of imagination. From mountain peaks to forgotten valleys, I craft worlds where adventure meets wonder.

My studio is filled with the tools of storytelling—vintage cameras that capture moments, notebooks brimming with fantasy sketches, and maps that chart both real and imagined territories.

Each tale begins with a question: What if? And from there, the adventure unfolds.

Raised in the vibrant, multicultural city of Montreal, Canada, I’ve always been drawn to stories rooted in adventure, history, and far-off worlds. Having traveled to more than 25 countries, I draw inspiration from the cultures, landscapes, and people I’ve encountered—many of which began as handwritten journal entries along the way.

I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Optometry at the University of Montreal, where I’ve developed strong research and analytical skills that directly inform my approach to worldbuilding and myth-driven storytelling. These skills played a key role in shaping The Marleau Twins: Race for Midgard, from its historical influences to its layered fantasy elements.

Race for Midgard is my debut novel, combining a lifelong love of travel, history, and speculative fiction. I aim to write young adult fantasy that feels immersive, thoughtful, and adventurous—stories that invite readers to explore new worlds while questioning fate, courage, and choice.
