Thank you for purchasing from Story Seed Press, including titles under our imprints Velvet After Dark and Ember & Ink. We are committed to providing high-quality books and merchandise with every order.

 


 

Standard Return Policy

Due to the nature of our products—many of which are print-on-demand, personalized, or custom-created—returns are only accepted under limited circumstances.

  • We offer a 14-day return window for eligible items. You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to request a return.

  • To be eligible:

    • The item must be unopened, unused, and in its original condition, free from wear, markings, or damage.

    • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) must be provided.

    • You must receive written approval for your return before shipping the item back.

To request a return, email hello@storyseedpress.com with your order number, description of the issue, and photos if applicable.

If approved:

  • Damaged/incorrect items → We will cover return shipping and either replace the item or issue a full refund.

  • Discretionary returns (customer preference) → The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Unapproved returns will not be accepted.

 


 

Return Address

Returns must be mailed to the address provided in your approval email. Please do not send items back without authorization.

 


 

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@storyseedpress.com. We will make it right with either a replacement or a refund, depending on availability.

 


 

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns or refunds for:

  • Custom or personalized products (including signed editions or gift sets with personalization)

  • Digital downloads or eBooks

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Gift cards

  • Items marked “Final Sale”

If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, please contact us before attempting a return.

 


 

Exchanges

We do not offer direct product exchanges. If you would like a different item, please place a new order once your return has been processed.

 


 

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval. If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original method of payment within 10 business days.

  • Your bank or credit card company may require additional time to process.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you haven’t received your refund, please contact us.

 


 

European Union Customers – 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order was shipped to the EU, you may return it within 14 days of receipt for any reason, provided the item is unopened, unused, and in its original condition. Proof of purchase is required.
