Story Seed Press, including our imprints Velvet After Dark and Ember & Ink, may occasionally offer products through special purchase options such as pre-orders, subscriptions, or other promotional purchase arrangements. This policy explains how cancellations work for those purchase types.
1. Pre-Orders
A pre-order allows you to reserve an item before it becomes available for shipment.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout:

You may cancel a pre-order at any time before the order has been fulfilled.

Any payment collected for a canceled pre-order will be refunded to the original payment method.

Once a pre-order has been fulfilled and shipped, it can no longer be canceled, but may qualify for a return or refund under our Return & Refund Policy.
Release dates and estimated shipping dates are subject to change.
2. Subscriptions
If Story Seed Press offers subscription products in the future, subscription terms, billing frequency, renewal details, and cancellation instructions will be clearly disclosed at checkout.
Subscribers will be able to manage or cancel their subscriptions through their customer account or through the link provided in subscription-related emails.
Cancellation will apply to future charges only. Orders that have already been processed or shipped cannot be canceled.
3. Promotional or Trial Programs (If Offered)
From time to time, Story Seed Press may offer promotional purchasing programs, trial periods, or similar arrangements.
Any applicable terms, cancellation rights, deadlines, and return requirements will be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase and will govern that specific offer.
4. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Financial institutions may require additional processing time before refunded amounts appear in your account.
