Política de cancelación

Some items in our store may be offered as a subscription, a pre-order, or on a try-before-you-buy basis. This policy explains your rights to change or cancel these types of purchases in accordance with Ontario consumer law and our publishing practices.

 

 

1. Subscriptions

  • When you purchase a subscription, you will receive repeat deliveries based on the duration and frequency selected at checkout.

  • Your payment details will be stored securely, and you will be charged for each scheduled delivery, unless you have paid in advance.

  • Some subscriptions may auto-renew at the end of their term. If you do not wish to renew, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

  • You may cancel or change your subscription at any time. To do so, follow the link provided in your order confirmation email or manage your subscription directly through your customer account.

  • Cancellation will apply to future deliveries only. Orders that have already been processed or shipped cannot be canceled.

2. Pre-Orders

  • A pre-order is a purchase of an item that is not yet in stock or currently in production. By placing a pre-order, you reserve the product in advance of its release.

  • At checkout, we may collect no payment, a partial deposit, or full payment, depending on the title. Your payment method will be securely stored, and the balance (if any) will be charged when your order is fulfilled.

  • You may cancel a pre-order at any time before fulfillment. If you have paid a deposit, it will be refunded in full unless otherwise stated at checkout.

  • Once a pre-order has been fulfilled and shipped, it cannot be canceled, but you may still request a return or refund under our [Returns Policy].

 

 

3. Try Before You Buy

  • For try-before-you-buy purchases, we place a temporary authorization hold on your payment method when your order is placed.

  • You will have a clearly stated trial period (provided at checkout) to decide whether you wish to keep the item.

  • If you return the item within the trial period, the authorization will be released or the charge refunded.

  • If the trial period ends and the item has not been returned, your payment method will be charged for the full purchase price.

 

 

4. General Terms

  • All cancellations are subject to confirmation by Story Seed Press.

  • Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.

  • This policy is intended to comply with the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario). Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
